Common pet problems we help with
Muddy paws & dog patches
Wet walks around Bordon and the heathland paths mean grey trails through the hall and darker patches where the dog likes to lie. These usually lift well with a proper hot-water clean.
Accidents & urine stains
We pre-treat the affected areas before extraction rather than masking the smell with perfume. Fresh accidents generally respond best, so it pays to act quickly.
Smells that come back
If an odour returns when the heating is on or the weather is damp, the urine has often gone deeper than the carpet pile. We will check and explain what is realistic.
The honest bit: what a clean can achieve
Steam / hot-water extraction rinses dirt and residue out of the carpet fibres and pulls most of the moisture back out, which is why it works far better on pet marks than a supermarket spray or a hire machine that leaves the carpet soaked.
But urine does not always stay in the carpet. Over time, or after a large accident, it can soak into the underlay, the floorboards underneath, or the foam inside sofa cushions. A clean can still make a big difference to how it looks and smells, but old urine in underlay or foam may not fully clear. In those cases, replacing a section of underlay is sometimes the only complete fix, and we will tell you that up front rather than take your money for a result we cannot deliver.
Our guarantee still applies: if your carpets do not look visually better after cleaning, you do not have to pay.
When to act fast
- 1.Blot, don’t rub. Press kitchen roll or an old towel onto the spot to soak up as much as possible. Rubbing pushes it deeper and spreads it.
- 2.Skip the bleach and perfumed sprays. Strong household products can discolour carpet, and scented cover-ups only hide the problem for a while.
- 3.Don’t flood it. Pouring lots of water on the spot can carry the urine down into the underlay, which makes it harder to treat later.
- 4.Get in touch early. Fresh marks are much easier to deal with than ones that have been there for weeks. A quick WhatsApp photo is enough for us to give you a guide.
After the clean: pets and kids back on when dry
With proper extraction most carpets dry within a few hours in normal conditions, not days. Open a window or put the heating on to help it along, and keep dogs, cats and little ones off until the carpet feels dry to the touch. Mention any pets, allergies or sensitivities when you book so we can plan the right approach.
Send us a photo. WhatsApp a picture of the stain to 07511 189666 with your postcode, roughly how old the mark is, and whether it is carpet, rug or sofa. It is the quickest way to get an honest guide price.

Pet stain cleaning FAQs
Can you remove pet urine stains and smells from carpets in Bordon?+
Often, yes. Fresh and recent accidents usually respond well to a proper pre-treatment followed by hot-water extraction. Older urine that has soaked through to the underlay can be harder to shift completely, so we look at it first and tell you honestly what to expect. Call 01420 384898 or WhatsApp a photo to 07511 189666 for a guide.
Will the smell definitely go?+
We cannot promise every odour will fully clear. If urine has reached the underlay, the floorboards or deep into sofa cushion foam, a surface clean may improve the smell a lot without removing it entirely. In some cases replacing a section of underlay is the only full fix, and we will say so rather than oversell a clean.
What should I do straight after a pet accident?+
Blot up as much as you can with kitchen roll or an old towel, pressing rather than rubbing. Avoid soaking the area or using strong household sprays, bleach or scented cover-ups, as these can spread the stain or set it. Then get in touch sooner rather than later, as fresh marks are much easier to treat.
How much does pet stain carpet cleaning cost?+
Pet stain treatment is usually priced as part of the room clean. Typical guide prices are £100 for a small or medium living room, £60 for a bedroom and £100 for stairs. Straight sofas are £135 and L-shape or corner sofas £195. Heavy staining may vary, and we confirm a firm price before we start.
When can my dog, cat or children go back on the carpet?+
Once the carpet is dry. With proper extraction most carpets dry within a few hours in normal conditions. Opening a window or putting the heating on helps. We suggest keeping pets and children off until the fibres feel dry to the touch.
Can you clean muddy paw prints and pet hair as well?+
Yes. Muddy paw trails through the hall, grey patches where the dog lies and embedded pet hair are some of the most common things we deal with in Bordon and GU35 homes. A thorough vacuum and hot-water extraction clean usually makes a clear difference.
