Carpet Cleaning in Greatham
Greatham is a village about three miles south-west of Bordon, where the A325 meets the B3006. It’s an old place, recorded in the Domesday Book as Greteham, on the edge of what was once the royal Woolmer Forest. I cover Greatham and nearby Blackmoor for carpet, sofa, rug and mattress cleaning.

Greatham homes
Greatham is mostly houses along the main roads and the lanes off them: older cottages and village houses alongside later family homes. Greatham has a Liss (GU33) postcode, but it’s much closer to Bordon than many GU35 addresses are to each other.

- Blackmoor
- Longmoor side of the A325
Around Greatham
Old Church of St John
A ruined church from around 1282. Its roofed chancel still holds Dame Margery Caryll’s alabaster tomb from 1632, and the newer St John’s church (1875) stands opposite.
Woolmer Forest
The former royal hunting forest whose heaths lie between Greatham, Whitehill and Liphook.
What Greatham carpets and sofas need
Country-lane grit
Gravelly soil (the name Greatham means a gravelly settlement) gets walked in on boots and paws. Extraction rinses out the grit that wears carpet down.
Pet accidents and odours
Tell me about pets when you book so I can plan the right treatment. There’s more on what’s realistic in the pet stain guide.
